In addition to weaving, Michelle is passionate about eating for “the health of it”, and develops her own “sans” recipes; recipes that are without certain ingredients. In her case, the recipes are without gluten, oil, sugar*, and animal^. She shares them freely, and publishes them when she feels they’re tasty enough for all eaters.

*To Michelle, acceptable sugars are whole fruits, fruit juice not from concentrate/not reconstituted, honey, maple syrup and unrefined coconut sugar.
^For Michelle, the only exception to this is honey. While she does consume animal (typically egg) every now-and-again to maintain her B vitamin levels, it is not enough of her diet to focus on recipes.
